Jonathan A. Weinman

Co-Founder | Employment Law: Harassment, Discrimination, and Wrongful Termination, Broslavsky & Weinman, LLP

Jonathan A. Weinman

Jonathan A. Weinman is a co-founder of Broslavsky & Weinman, LLP and a Los Angeles employment attorney who represents employees in sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage-and-hour matters.

Admitted to the California bar in 2008 (Bar No. 256553), he has focused on plaintiff-side labor and employment law throughout his career, first as a senior associate at a labor and employment litigation firm in Long Beach and, since 2013, as co-founder of Broslavsky & Weinman.

A member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and a Southern California Super Lawyer, he has also served on mediation panels across Southern California and regularly speaks and writes on labor and employment law.

About Jonathan

Jonathan A. Weinman co-founded Broslavsky & Weinman, LLP in 2013 after building his career representing employees. He earned his Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from the University of Southern California, and his Juris Doctor from the Southwestern Law School.

He also holds a Master of Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and he has more than two decades of domestic and international dispute-resolution experience, having served on mediation panels throughout Southern California, including through the Los Angeles Superior Court.  Jonathan previously worked as an Attorney-Mediator for the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), the largest state civil rights agency in the United States, where he assisted parties in resolving employment disputes.

He is licensed to practice in all California courts and before the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California.

Why He Represents Employees

Jonathan focuses exclusively on the side of employees because workplace disputes strike at a person’s livelihood and dignity, and employees usually face a significant power imbalance: employers control their jobs and pay and typically have HR staff and company lawyers behind them.

By representing individual employees rather than corporations, he is able to focus entirely on protecting workers’ rights, holding employers accountable, and pursuing meaningful results.

Jonathan brings that commitment to his litigation practice, including when employers attempt to withhold evidence.  In one matter, for example, he represented an employee against a serial harasser whom the company had repeatedly failed to discipline and kept in a supervisory role. The company denied wrongdoing, initially refused to settle, and fought discovery. After persistent litigation and repeatedly prevailing in court to compel critical evidence, the firm forced a substantial settlement and the company was finally held accountable.
